National Police Promotion Framework

2015 saw a major shake up to the National Police Promotion Framework (NPPF) with OSPRE Part II being re-placed by work based assessment.

Is your force ready for this new challenge? Do you have the structure and skills sets in your staff to complete the work based assessment element of the Sergeants and Inspectors awards?

Sancus Solutions, an approved centre for SFJ Awards, are well equipped to assist you in meeting the challenges set by the new NPPF.

NPPF Assessor and Quality Assurance Training

If you are already a centre, we can train your staff in the assessment and internal quality assurance skills required by the awarding organisations and the College of Policing. We can ensure all your assessors and internal quality assurers are fully up to date with the assessment and verification practice that meets the qualification requirements.

The National Police Promotion Framework (NPPF) courses available are:

Training New Assessors – a two day course which will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out and record assessment on promotion candidates.

Training Internal Quality Assurers – a three day course consisting of the assessor training and a further day to deal with the requirements of quality assurance.

Refresher Training for Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers – a one day course, counting for CPD, which will update existing skills interrelation to the NPFF standards

Train The Trainers – a three day course for forces who wish to become self-sufficient in qualifying their own staff in assessing and quality assurance

All these programmes are in line with the requirements of the awarding bodies who quality assure the promotion awards plus the College of Policing recommendations for the promotions framework.

The Sancus NPPF Assessment Skills Programme is led and advised by Angie Packwood who, in terms policing, is one of the country’s leading authorities on assessment and quality assurance. A former police officer Angie has over eight years experience working with an awarding body as an external quality assurer in policing. She has also been advising forces throughout the NPPF pilot as part of her role as EQA.

If your force is not a centre then a further cost effective solution to the challenges presented by the NPPF is that you become a satellite centre to Sancus who are a SFJ Awards Centre. Please contact us for further discussions on this potential approach.
