Mick Turner was a career detective serving with Lancashire Constabulary. During his police service he was involved in more than 200 murder investigations, leading 50 of these as the Senior Investigating Officer.
He has delivered training to many senior detectives throughout the country as well as working with the National Police Improvement Agency on the standardisation of the development of detectives.
Since leaving the police, Mick has used his legal training and investigative background to develop and deliver authoritative and practical training products to other investigators. He is also a hugely experienced reviewer of unresolved crimes having carried out reviews throughout the UK and internationally. Mick is a registered expert witness in police procedures and regularly has his work published on investigative matters.
In December 2011 Mick was appointed as a member of the General Medical Council’s Fitness to Practice Panels
Tony Hutchinson spent 25 of his 30 year police career as a detective. As a Senior Investigating Officer with Cleveland Police he led more than 40 murder enquiries. Tony was the driving force behind the Choice Helpline, the first such service in the country designed to offer support and advice to victims of Forced Marriage and Honour Based Violence.
Since leaving the police Tony has specialised in both investigation training and media training. He works closely with Karma Nirvana, a community based charity of national recognition helping victims of Forced Marriage and Honour Based Violence
Tony has written and delivered training throughout the UK to many statutory and voluntary agencies. He has addressed conferences in the UK, Canada, and the USA.
Tony Hester is a founding Director of Sancus Solutions. Tony was until recently employed as the Managing Director for the Training Division of Servoca PLC. Servoca’s decision to withdraw from the Training market prompted Tony, with other Servoca associates, to set up Sancus Solutions.
Tony was managing Director for two years and prior to that was Head of Training within the company. During his time with the company Tony was responsible for securing contracts with the Home Office, Food Standard Agency and the National Health Service as well as numerous other public sector clients.
Tony served 31 years within the Metropolitan Police Service retiring at the rank of Detective Superintendent. During his service Tony served as the head of the Metropolitan Police Crime Academy and oversaw the Academy re-establish itself as a major provider of Investigative Training.
Tony holds a national training certificate and has himself delivered training internationally on behalf of the British Government.
Malcolm Trayhorn has recently joined Sancus Solutions as their training manager having performed this role successfully for the last 5 years for Servoca Outsourcing Solutions.
He previously served for 30 years as a police officer. During his service he was involved in key aspects of recruit and probationer training at Hendon Police Training College, including, learner support, diversity training and examination writing.
After retiring he became a Training Consultant, which involved working for a number of Police Forces.
During his time at Servoca Outsourcing Solutions he was involved in numerous training programmes managing the process from development through to delivery.
Malcolm has a national trainer qualification and a Certificate in Education. He now carries out the vital role of liaising with our clients, and consultants.
The Directors of Sancus Solutions are supported by a large database of proven investigators and trainers all of whom have extensive practical experience. Our mantra is ‘if you haven’t done it then you can’t talk about it’.
Our expertise extends to Investigation Training for the wider public sector as well as the private sector.
We are currently working towards accreditation with a nationally recognised awarding body and we will keep you informed regarding progress..
