Road Death Lead Investigator, Dyfed Powys 8th to 12th May 2017
A well presented course, which was delivered to achieve the required result. The course trainers were professional and very supportive, explaining everything that was relevant to our role.
Thanks Mike and Kylie. I really enjoyed the course. It was really good to have an ex-traffic officer to explain things as this really helped – normally, we have someone taking a course who has never stepped out into the real world, but it was clear that Mike knew what he was talking about. This was the same with Kylie during the CID/Court lessons. She clearly knew what she was talking about. I took many things away from the course which I will use in my day to day duties as well as SIO duties. Many thanks both.
The course was very well presented by the trainers, Mike and Kylie. They delivered the course in a manner that made the subject interesting. Both trainers clearly had a wealth of experience, which was passed on, and of great benefit
A first class course delivered in an easy to learn manner.
Thoroughly enjoyable and informative course, delivered by extremely knowledgeable trainers, in a relaxed and professional manner.
The course was well presented in a very professional manner by two very knowledgable trainers. We were able to ask questions and get comprehensive replies to understand all the course content to fully equip us for our role as RDLI. I thoroughly enjoyed the course presentation. I would again pass my thanks on to both Michael and Kylie.
Very enjoyable and informative course, the trainers were easy to talk to and willing to answer all questions.
Michael barron and kylie are very good at delivering the programme, well done both
Very good course. In-formal relaxed approach pitched at the right level. Content delivered in a good way and linked to real examples of the course trainer’s experiences. Have learnt a great deal

ARDIC – May 2016 – Peterborough
Fully enjoyed the course both trainers were knowledgeable and very experienced. A lot of learning drawn from experience (Martin Bainbridge)
As a very new roads policing officer more ‘example material’ would have assisted me. Such as an example policy book, case studies at the start and inputs from AI/CI prior to the policy book exercise. All in all a very good course. Thank you. TG
A very enlightening/informative course delivered in a relaxed atmosphere. Great deal of information learned from other candidates on the course but ‘perhaps’ some of the less relevant ‘stories’ could have been limited!! Thoroughly enjoyed the week – thank you both very much. MV
As a new officer to this level/type of investigation I feel able and confident to execute my role. The course has given me a great start in my new role. TH
Scenarios very beneficial and sharing of other officers experience/cases helped. Refreshing case law very beneficial. AP
I attended to become more confident in the role of SIO and at the end I feel that way. Course content was fully relevant and both trainers extremely knowledgeable in their field. A well presented and professional course achieving what I set out to achieve. SG

ARDIC – November 2015 – Peterborough
The course was balanced between information given and practical assessment. My personal expectation from the course was in relation to policy book content and procedure which the trainers took on board and geared the course to meeting. The experience and discussion within the group was invaluable. I have enjoyed the course and feel that it will give me the tools required. KG
Both Ian and David have provided an enjoyable, well paced course. The environment has been one of mutual learning from experience that the students and training staff have had during their careers. IM
Guest speakers good and useful, especially Mr Boyle. Transferrable skills, tips and experience. SW
Brilliant course. Both trainers had a wealth of experience that brought realism to the training. The guest speakers were also valuable to the experience. I would recommend this course to anyone seeking to become an SIO. Well done. MD
This was an excellent course which I found very useful. The attitude of the trainers, their professional experience and knowledge made the learning much easier and the material easier to understand. Thank you. KE
This has been a very worthwhile course which will assist me greatly in my role. The course content was relevant and delivered very well by the trainers and guest speakers. I would be keen to attend further Sancus Solutions courses relevant to my role as this has been one of the better external courses that I have attended. SL-A
I have appreciated the pace and input of the course and also found it very helpful with the group participation. Having only been in the department for 12 months and limited experience in the traffic environment, it was good to hear experiences and procedures from officers in other forces. I’m looking forward to putting this new found knowledge to use and has provided me with the confidence to do a good job. A good and enjoyable week in a friendly and good learning environment. (Anon)
